The 2011 V6's are getting a smaller engine? Is it the same basic design as the Caddy's 3.6L engine?

I wondered if GM had come out with a new engine that I hadn't heard about. I see that they have a 3.0L DI V6 rated at about 255HP. Is this in the same family as the 3.6L, just smaller bore? Like the 305 and the 350...
