While I would rather see any new Camaro made in the states. If the ranking of the Oshawa plant is to be believed, I would much rather see the Camaro made in such a quality plant. I think, in the end, that would be the best for everyone.

How could this be a repost? It came out this morning.

 

I really thought they had no chance of landing the Camaro.......now I am not so sure. I dont think GM would go through the trouble of making those changes if they were not leaning towards giving it to them. If in the end it does not go there, they are going to be pi$$ed.

 

As long as it's built with the best quality possible, build it in Antarctica for all I care.....I'm not so full of US pride to accept an inferior product just to have a Made in USA sticker.

A bit of both, from what I understand there are a few places in consideration right now, but Oshawa's quality has been noted.

If I was going to take a guess just on my own accord I’d say Canada will prob build the next Camaro.

At the end of the day, GM is going to build the car where a) they can make the most money and b) who has the best quality. There is no denying that the Oshawa plant build quality products (J D Power award for quality 3 years running). Time will tell.

 

And get into another exclusive contract with the CAW again? I highly doubt it. GM is looking to get out from under the unions as much as they can right now. Not dissing Canada's shops, but Canada doesn't make much sense.
