Car and Driver says Camaro SS faster than 2011 5.0 Mustang?
I've said for a while the 5.0GT vs. SS would be a drivers race. The GT has the power to weight ratio and optional better gearing and equal tires but the LS3 has 30 more ft lbs to make up some of the difference.
Mmmm, the motors are not built on the same day as the car...
You are kinda losing me here.
The early hubub was that the 5.0 was a total overdog car.
Where did that thinking wander off to?
Has Chicken Little wandered off the set again?
Did the mag dyno this car? That would be interesting. Roller up every one of these to see what actually is going to be expected of the production line cars. Early talk was that Ford had vastly underrated the '11 5.0. Where did that "fact" go?

I think that was based off of one dyno test that the hardcore Mustang nutswingers got all excited about, and those of us that prefer Mustangs - but still have some bit of objectivity left, figured it was highly likely that that particular test was....to quote a cliche'.....too good to be true.
Looks like we're going to see most of them dyno in the 365-375 RWHP range. Still quite stout.

We talked about this in CamaroZ28.Com Podcast Episode #243.
It's just a lil humor rather than an attempt of explanation."Wednesday Car" is just a nickname, possibly a redneck nickname for a car that, for no explainable reason, seems to be a little faster than another equal car (year, engine, options, trim level ect). "Monday they go to work with a hangover, Friday they are ready to get off work for the weekend, and Wednesday they build 'em right." Hence "Wednesday car."

Also, one test does not a tend make.
Should be fun to see how it all plays out.
Easy easy easy Dog

.At this point, folks are just happy to have a job. When I've been in plants on a Friday, folks seem to be just as dialled in to getting it right

I know this post is stock for stock.....but I thought this was interesting.
Evolution Performance is running 11.65 @ 118mph with supposed bolt ons, at least thats what they are saying.
The did have a great driver and full drag wheels and rubber.
If this is for real and not some magazine ringer...... Hell, that's no mods at all to run that kind of mph...

almost 118mph with off-road pipe, catback, drop in air filter, tune, upper/lower control arms, panhard brace, strengthening torque box, and tires. But I am going by what is said by them.
