Question Car color??

With the release if the new car. Do you all think that a new special color will be released with it?
I dont know about you but i think most cars have a color that goes extremely well with it. I.E. That crazy orange on the new gto's.(not a custom color for the car tho i dont think.)

Re: Car color??

Funny you mention that, that new orange on the GTO's is a factory color, called Brazen Orange I think. I saw one at the Car Craft show this weekend a local dealer had on display, I absolutely loved it....in fact, I'd have bought it if I wasn't so sure the new Camaro would be here sooner than we think!

I think that color would look great on the new Camaro too.

They had some nice dark silver Ram Air and GTO stickers on that car too. I think the new camaro in that color, with dark silver rally stripes would look perfect....modern, yet retro. Throw some custom wheels on there with gunmetal gray centers, and polished lips, that'd be killer.

I'm hoping for Slimmer Green.

Or a Fathom Green with Slimmer Green Stripes.

Isn't that a Mopar color? I'm sure the Challengers and Charger's will have that color pretty much worn out by then.

I did see a few '69's this weekend also that were Rallye Green, which is sharp!

An orange of some sort would be nice, wether it be SOM or Hugger Orange.

Re: Car color??

Agreed, that car would look very good in a navy blue pearl or metallic color.

Guess I'll see what is available before I have to make such a 'tough' decision!

No good IF it becomes a pacecar. The family will have to make room for a 6th p/c in the household.

Yellow with black strips just like the transformer. That is a hot combo!

I already started a thread on this "back in the day" when the first pics of the new concept came out.
But anywho, I'll take mine in either Black or the brightest eye popping Blue I can get. The color blue available on the SSR would do nicely. Then I want white stripes on it.

Re: Car color??

I can't wait to see what colors are offered, because I can't make up my mind.

Black - cool, yes, but too hard to keep clean.
Yellow Metallic - Maybe a bit lighter than the Transformer Pix?
Dark Gray Metallic - Nice contrast with the gold bow tie
Blue Metallic - Not a dark blue - more like the one on the Vettes

Dark Red Metallic - ? I dunno - maybe?

Not sure I'd do stripes - but the black stripes on the Transformer pix look awesome........*sigh*.......can't WAIT for this car!!!

Re: Car color??

What about that Butternut yellow or whatever the '69 Camaros came in? I wouldn't buy one that color, but maybe somebody would. I'd like mine in Lemans Blue ('69 shade of the color (more like modern Nassau Blue), not the modern Corvette color (which is more like Electron Blue)) with charcoal leather

Re: Car color??

I saw a new Z06 in a darker blue this past weekend, it was a great color.

My Silverado is called 'Medium Royal Blue Metallic'. To this date, it's the best blue ever put on a Chevy truck. Something along those lines. I think the blue on the HHR (not sure if it's the same as the SSR) would be a great choice, prolly better than the color of my truck.

Here's a pic, next to a teal '65 Impala, which is nearly identical to the first car I had, a teal '66 Impala, which I took a few weeks ago with my phone:
