Who cares? None of us are going to be able to afford one anyway, .

These.

Regarding all of this 'Ring nonsense, I would have to think that even this track still favors power over handling. A car with the same or even slightly less handling prowess but more hp should still outrun its rival. This is all based purely on my tremendous GT5 driving skills

If mark up is really your issue do not pay mark up. Find a dealer that will not go above MSRP (some of whom are on this site)

I do not know anyone here who is advocating mark up, but that is your particular dealers choice. Dealers on this site say they will not charge it.

ummm... and

Seeing as both cars aren't even here yet. I don't know what all the hubbub is about. Congrats to Chevy and Congrats to Ford for creating these Hyper Muscle Cars. Can't wait to see what they can do.

I didn't see anyone mention it here so I will.

It's not only about the HP (ok so that was already said).

Anyone who has done track days know that in a 4th Gen Camaro or a C5 Z06 (I have done both and had both), you can run a max of about 20 minutes before your oil, tranny and diff fluid is so hot that you have to back off. Backing off when you want to go fast is no fun. Also, brakes fade.

With the package in the ZL1, I don't see any of that happening, so you can run lap after lap without those problems.

It costs several thousands of dollars to add all the coolers, brakes, ducts etc.

So the ZL1 is priced right in my opinion.
