This sounds reasonable to me...

It's a GOOD thing to have your enthusiasts talk about your car. Also, the Z28 is such a horribly kept "secret" at this point, that it really doesn't matter. People should relax LOL, this is not CIA level stuff, I guarantee you!

Also, not even GM would be stupid enough to not call this car the Z28, unless they have other plans for the name. Like bringing out a car with great handling, braking, less content, weight reduction, and possibly smaller displacement.....which is all doubtful.

Besides, anyone that knows anything already knows SS REALLY stands for Scott Settlemire.

Can I speculate and say supercharged Convertible....or Duramax Diesel Edition???

I hope it's a total fabrication based on the "no real interior updates" report. Not looking to start a flame war, but NAV is a deal breaker for me. There is just zero reason for it to not be an option.

No signficant updates doesnt mean NONE. I'm not saying Nav is coming or not, but I wouldn't consider changing out a head unit to be "significant".

In the "old days" I would agree with you, but with the current amount of stereo/AC/electronics integration it's no small task anymore. The current kits that are out there look like crap IMHO, and the forums are full of reports that using them unleases gremlins. After you've had factory nav in a couple of vehicles, it's easy to get used to it (I've had Jeep and Acura)

I'm not a fan of the aux gauges not being integrated into the main binacles, but I've given up hope that this will change.

Re: Camaro Z28 production date - NOT CONFIRMED to begin 1/1/2012

I would venture out and guess that if there are interior changes obviously they are not going to be huge and totally different than what the current interior has already. There is no way that GM or any other mass manufacturer can totally change an interior of a car in its current generation. It is just not feasible and it does not make sense financially, especially when this is only the 2nd year of the 5th gen Camaro. I would guess that there will be more real chromed metal pieces (around gauges, HVAC controls, etc), possibly different looking gauges, possibly a NAV option, and some differnt/better materials on the dash and such. Either way I am sure GM is listening, or at least I hope they are, and will have a nicer interior without being "significant. If they can resemble an interior like my Traverse or some of the many other newer GM vehicles than I think most people would be happy with that.

all this speculation and over obsession can really turn people off of the car. its really gotten me to the point where i just wish they would either can it or do it already. not saying its gm's fault. i think its the people that gm trust with the info and then they go and betray their trust.

Re: Camaro Z28 production date - NOT CONFIRMED to begin 1/1/2012

This is another example of GM lack of direction! You would think that Ford bringing back the Boss 302 would change things. The Z28 needs to be slotted between the V6&SS & a engine either 327/302(365hp&370 tq).The weight reduction comes from it having no-frills& all the s..t!This would be the handling model.Btw the GM involvement in motorsports is also a disgraceThere was no sign of them @ the Oct. NHRA event in Las Vegas last fall & now that Pontiac has been axed (R.I.P);things are even worse! Also why is GM never the leader anymore;they seem to be reacting to the competition & always a step behind.
