Camaro vs Mustang vs Challenger VIDEO
Yes, this Camaro handles. You can throw it into a corner and not worry about the front end washing away like in the Challenger. There's surprising agility on tap for a 3,857-pound car. As your entry speeds increase, it leaves you wanting for a bit more steering feel, but the poise with which it takes to corners is eye-opening. At 68.6 mph, it pips the Mustang's slalom speed despite having a bit less grip and packing hundreds more pounds. That, friends, is talent.
Holden has done well to get the Zeta chassis to handle far better than the curb weight would suggest. One forgets that the S197 Mustang has been a solid handling car since 2005 and this latest reiteration is even more refined. Ford has done as well as anyone could with the solid rear axle.
Motortrend's write up between the three is more indepth. Doesn't really look like either mag took all three and get the performance test results from the same day/same track though. Little disappointed w/ that...

Interesting that the as-tested price in Motortrend's case had the Camaro (1SS, premium audio was it I think) much cheaper than the other two. I'd like to see them test a non-track pack GT against the SS.
And somebody needs to throw a SRT8 into these tests just so the Challenger can save some face...

This is AWESOME! I was just hanging out with some guys that are die hard Chrysler. I brought up the Camaro and they said it was the ugliest car out there. I told them 'Well at least you only have to look at the back of the car'
AAHHHHHHH! It was nice to see one exactly as I ordered getting tested. Tonight I will go to sleep dreaming it was me driving it! Haha! It is definately nice to have the flood on tests/info coming now. I still can't get enough.
Really good article. I was disappointed to hear of the build quality flaws on the 'stang. First mustang in 20 years I have REALLY liked the looks of. Thought it was cool that they "got" the Challenger. It is a modern day Super Bee/RoadRunner/GTX.
Of course, as much as I like the other two, it is a SS/RS I wil;l be ordering next year, so I AM DAMN GLAD IT WON !
