Camaro "thoughts" at Portland.....

I've never heard that sequential turn signals are illegal.
And I would think twice about cutting the gills open on the 1/4s of the Camaro.
They told us at Indy there was a reason that they're not open. To stop water intrusion into a blind area that couldn't be drained or protected in any way against corrosion.
If you open those, water (and whatever else) will go between the outer skin and inner skin and just rot the car out from the inside.
I would have an airbrush artist just add some low lights (a color slightly darker than the color of your car) to that area; to give that area some depth and interest.

On a serious note I wonder how hard it would be to fab a funnel behind the slits that can then direct the air that passes through to the brakes via ducting. You would likely have to cut an additional hole through the wheel well but it may be doable. Sort of similar to how the rear brake ducts on the Z06 work.

Here's one of the local news stations coverage with Scott. Maggie and I got a nice shout out. http://www.kptv.com/video/18649275/
We were at the show on Friday night. Next year maybe we can get a group together!

Not a problem if you just don't drive your 5th gen in the rain.

Exactly what I was thinking. Wonder how difficult it would be to get a chrome ring or simple hard plastic ring moulding to fit cutouts on those fenders - and of course making the cut-outs functional would be optimal(even if just for appearance).
Something like this except of course would need to be 3 of them for each side or something to replicate the look of three tall slender vent slots....hmm.

No, he was talking about the rear fender ones. The question came up at one of the presentations on why the vents weren't functional. Tom gave a number of good reasons why they weren't. Then he added, that on a possible Z/28 model, functional rear brake cooling scoops could be done , similar to the Z06's.
BTW, he was probably talking in more than just theoretical terms, since the Z/28's bodywork is already done, and has been for some time now. (I'd add the winky smilie here, but I'm just so damned tired of it being used like that already).
Whether we'll ever see a Z/28 though, is an entirely different question.

That would be very cool. Had to put off buying a Solstice for my wife for a year+ because of the rumors of a turbo charged version. Going to do the same thing with the 5th gen. I'll give it a year two at the most if rumors of a Z28 begin to solidify. Fingers crossed

went to the show today. like the v6 model, but really dissapointed i didnt get to see the v8, black one. would rather look and not touch than have that one lol also hate silver, the black rims, not a fan of much, but the car still appealed to me. cant wait to see a ss on the streets.

It's a real steal at it's price point. The D.I. 3.6 included with a $22.995K package with a six speed manual trans is a very nice combo, IMO.

I agree with you. Granted, wheels can make a world of difference to a car's appearance. The bas 5th Gen Camaro is a truly great value and good looking piece.
