The new Mustang's interior didn't look as futuristic, but at the press previews, Mustang's interior blew away Camaro SS' interior in looking like it was well made and far from cheap. Though the "Black" interior was very good and might be on par, the production SS interior left alot to be desired next to the new Stang interior.

I have seen both interiors in person. I prefer the Camaro for several reasons. The fact is the general public won't be able to compare production versions for some time to come and that will answer some questions. All I know is that for the current Mustang if you have an F150 like me you have the same interior as the Mustang. I respect that GM did not simply borrow a bunch of components from off the shelf to put the interior together for this car. I am sure doing this would have made things easier and cheaper. Lastly Ford didn't consider putting a decent interior into the Mustang until Chrysler and GM showed up with competition.
