Anything that will be on display at the show the press will have seen 3-4 months earlier. They see it early because they have delays in getting it into print.

Sorry, when the choice boils down to Detroit in the mist of winter and Australia in the mist of summer, there's a limit to how far my 5th gen enthusiasm goes.

I will be at the LA show on press and preview nights if anyone is in the area.

 

That's the only thing keeping me away... I can't get anyone to travel from California to Detroit with me in the dead of winter.

 

In the unlikely even my plans change.......

 

IMO if the invite would be for only a special chosen few to go to a pre-preview, then it'd be better to not bother. This idea started out as a way for the 5th Gen regulars to get together, meet each other, shoot the sh|t, and then go check out the car. If most of the gang is excluded then that's kinda lame. As much as we all want to see the car, does it really matter if everyone waits a day or two and does it together?

 

Understood...but that doesn't mean that a get together during the regular show still can't happen...just need to pick a day and let everyone know.

 

Be interesting to see who gets invited....

I may be. depends on whether or not I stay in japan for a second semester or go back to my home institution. if i stay in japan im definately going, if not i have to leave for school like jan 3
