Without making you all wait any longer, we got some pics and video up of the Camaro Concept test drive to share.

The one video we wanted to put up first was what everyone wants to see...what it is like to drive the car.

Chris and I each got to take a couple of easy laps around. I went first and then when Chris got behind the wheel, I got in the back seat and got some video. Note the exhaust sounds and also the end when you get a VERY good driver's perspective

That looks and sounds absolutely badass. Chris, what gear were you crusing in during the video? And speaking of gears, how does the shifter feel?

It looks like the rear seats haven't improved much in terms of legroom. Is there still a big hump for a catalytic converter in the front passenger floor?

awesome! Thats what Ive been waiting for. Looks good from drivers perspective and looks like you can see the hood. Everything in the engine at least looks accessible. That thing even sounds good too!

I don't know. I didn't think to ask that one and I wasn't gonna go knocking on the panels, considering the GM people that where there with us. Should have asked me to check in the other thread!

Yes, you can see the hood. The good thing is, you can see just enough of the hood to give you a good feel for the length of the car, but it is not like looking across the parking lot of a hood that a 70's Cadillac has.

Glad you noticed. That is a very important visual part of the car that doesn't seem to be very prominent when photographed, and the lighting was JUST right to highlight it a bit more so I captured it. I think it is one of my more favorite parts of the car.

I would have kicked the passanger out and did a few full throttle blasts. Guy seemed like a nag. Specially since it's possibly future customers.

 

I've got a question that I forgot to ask in the other thread, how does the speedometer and tach read? I didn't see any needles in the pictures...does the ring around the outside of it light up and sweep around the circumference?
