I dont think the 5.5L is too far fetched though(we know it will have DI). Corvette Racing has been working with the engineers and designers very closely on the C7, much like they did with the C6.

No, use this car as a base for the Z28. With a few more things it should be worthy and it's just about what people are already looking for in a Z28. It would make no sense at all not to do it, none. They know well and good that there is/has been a demand for the Z28 far over a 1LE option or anything like that to combat the BOSS. Besides, the ZL1 was gonna be named Z28 up until the last minute. I believe this is a way to test the waters a little, especially being a "concept" and all.
