Hey quick question. I was building my camaro. I noticed there was an rs package and ground affects. I thought the RS package came with the ground affects. So what do you get when you purchase the RS package?

Halo headlights, 20" aluminum wheels, spoiler, car colored roof ditch molding. I think that's it.

More specifically:
* Rear spoiler (this is already standard on 1SS and 2SS)
* 20-inch "Midnight Silver" painted aluminum wheels
* High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with "halo ring" display
* Body-color roof ditch molding
* RS unique taillamps (they're tinted a little darker)
* RS badging (on an LT, this means you get a red "RS" badge; on an SS, you get a red "SS" badge instead of the usual silver "SS" badge)

Some additional points about the wheels:
- the standard 1SS and 2SS come with "Sterling Silver" painted aluminum wheels. I haven't seen photo confirmation, but as far as I know, these are the same design as the Midnight Silver, but with a brighter finish. The Midnight Silver wheels have a darker tone to them, to go along with the darker tail lamps.

- If you would prefer polished aluminum wheels, that's an additional $470 as a stand-alone option. You can get those wheels on an SS without the RS package (still $470), but if you want them on a 1LT or 2LT, you have to get the RS package before you're allowed to upgrade.

To me, the biggest value in the RS package is the HID lights. I don't really care much about the rest of it.

Also, just FYI, it's ground effects, with an E.

Thanks for the info.. Im think about getting the 1ss and im not sure if the RS package is really worth it. The HID lights are nice but i just dont think its overal worth the price. I dont im sure ill change mind over and over again from now until i purchase the car

Yea i know i realized after i submitted that ground effects was spelled wrong.

Also does any know if you purcahse the ground effects and decide to install them youself would be it a lot cheaper.. I mean 2,250 for them seems really high.

Jake, weren't you going to update the builder with Canadian prices? Also the blues are not available for the SS (I'm sure you're aware of this, just pointing it out if you're going to make modifications).

Life has been busy lately... hopefully I'll get to it sooner than later.

Also, now that GMPP has announced pricing for their parts offerings, some of these items could show pricing in the tool also.

Thats an import...expected.... but a domestic? seems a little out of reach... cant buy a v8 for under 30k.....at least dodge has the RT for those that cant afford and srt. And you can get NAVI and othe options with that. They wanna complete with the mustang? I can get a v8 gt starting at 25K

actually base price is 29 for the v8. for the power and everything you get "standard", there is nothing that comes close to it. so you want the v8 and all the goodies and HID for under 30k?
