There are three types of camaros. '69, '10, and everything else

Speaking of which is there a head on shot of the SS and the 69???

I'd take a 68 over any 1st Gen. And a mint, optioned out, L98 IROC-Z over that.

My first mods will probably to yank that engine cover off and get a CAI. Although it looks pretty good for a stock intake, but that air silencer kills it.

I seriously doubt that is the "final dress" for the engine compartment.

And while we're at... it looks to me like there's plenty of room to squeeze in a Ram-Air set-up.

I'm an idiot... I thought you were talking about ABS plastic, as in the engine / coil cover

Making spark plug changes a near impossibility must have been the "heritage cute" lifted from the 4th gen

Hmm, since the hood latch appears to be above the front clip vent, does that mean that there is a possibility of making it functional?

Yea I think that cover will be taken off any 5th gen I get. I actually liked the look of a wide open engine like the LT1-LS1 Fbodies as opposed to the Vette and GTO.
Maybe get a few lbs off the nose.

Last time I checked, a '68 IS a 1st gen.

Don't forget the '70-'73 split bumpers. I find those years to be my favorite Camaros.
Well, now, they're my favorite after the 5th gen.

You should be correct. Plus...I imagine there would be some additional aftermarket options from GM when it comes to that...

And while we're at... it looks to me like there's plenty of room to squeeze in a Ram-Air set-up.
I'll bet you will have plenty of options from many sources on that one.

Looks like headers will be a pain in the ***, but there should be enough room to change the cam without loosening the motor mounts.

So, why would they put the ABS unit on the opposite side of the master cyl?

Also, is the semi-official name for the SS non-functioning inlet "the mail slot"?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet but that MAF looks to be intergrated into the airbox. New MAF for any new CAI it seems (unless you go mafless ).
