Because Scott told me I could finally post it...
It was a special press night where we (some Camaro enthusiasts on various message boards) all signed up to go I think the day before the public got to go to the show. We were asked to dress up, and those pictures were taken when virtually everybody else had left.
It was great being there when virtually nobody else was! I got to sit in all sorts of cars they normally don't let you in. Unfortunately the Ferraris were off limits, but I still got in some cool cars like the Lotus Elise and the Viper(s)

That Lotus was really hard to get in and out of... worse than a C4 Corvette, and REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE!
If any of you guys ever hear about events like these on message boards, I highly recommend them! Here are some pictures from the 2006 event. It was really cool, because GM brought two Berger Camaro SSes to the event!

Since nobody was around, we were able to get up close and personal with this Saleen S7 Twin Turbo!

Wasn't able to get too close to the Shelby GR-1, but it was there

And yes, Scott put on a Camaro get-together at the Dallas Auto show in 2006 right after the first concept was unveiled. It was a great night; GM catered in food and had an open bar. Everyone got to talk to the GM reps and Scott to give feedback. We also had free range on the entire auto show with out 10,000 people from the public there.
We didnt get to sit in the car though
I guess It was a bit more protected back then.

LOL
