Anyone want to release some hostilities?
Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
Yea, the guy is a moron. One member on that forum post the letter where he back pedals and says that he wrote that to get people's attention, yet I have an email from him saying that he still doesn't the Camaro(after reading my response). :blah:
Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
That...ooh...,S.O.B.!
La Fav, wasn't that the name of one of those women, who cheated on her husband, with one of her students? I hope that was him he deserves it, what a jerk-off. Nice response Guy, I could not have put it so eloquently!
Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
An '87 Vette that's a "worn out bag of bolts"???
I only have 2 words;
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE....!
Where are all those '87 "jewels" of automotive genius at??
Sounds like "young Ricer" to me as well...

Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
Scotts response was great! But this is one of those times when we have to remind ourselves of the old adage:
Never try to teach a Fat pig to sing (or write about automobiles)
It wastes your time
and it annoys the pig

Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
I don't think you guys should be so hard on him.
Point one:
The trailblazer SS really is more of a modern Camaro than the 4th gen was. Look at the trailblazer SS compared to the 67 Camaro. Both are low slung stylish 2 door 4 seat sports cars that are low slung, with sleek styling. In fact when you look at the new trailblazer SS you begin to wonder if you are actually looking at a '67 Camaro.
Point two:
Miata's are way more fun than any old Camero or whatever they are called. The only reason anyone buys Camaros is because they never graduated middle school and wouldn't know a good car if it ran over their dog(in the case of the miata the dog would still be alive).
Point three:
I drove a Camaro once and when I changed the oil I forgot to put the filter on and that camaro didn't make it 3000 miles before the engine siezed right up. It ran really rough and was just a piece of junk in general.

I told him while I was never a fan of the cheap interior of the Camaro, the latest offerings from GM have been great and in my personal experiences, trouble free and with low cost maintainance. I also told him that while he had some points that may have been valid on some level, the way he put it was overly harsh and desserving of criticism. I also told him due to that article I would never read anything from that website again, and will remember the name of that writer as a hack.

Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
Well...I wrote him back.
Sir,
After reading your review on the Trailblazer SS I am aghast. Your writing in regards to the Camaro might be more appropriate in a teenage Honda Civic bulletin board. While I am a little unsure as to what made you think the car is a “total piece of junk”, one could assume you believe it was unreliable and built poorly. You couldn’t be further from the truth. “Made from plastic, and what wasn’t plastic was welded together with plastic”? What kind of an automotive journalist are you? Do you have an axe to grind? Has someone at GM personally harmed you?
Clearly subjectivity comes into play in writing these articles, but to go off hell bent on another car in the way you did was at best unprofessional and at worst irresponsible and immature. If you are receiving a fair amount of criticism concerning this article I suggest that you take a step back and examine why. When making such harsh accusations you owe it to yourself and your readers to back them up with a little more reason than “because I said so”.

Re: Anyone want to release some hostilities?
You cant swing everybody, can you? I sell the shake flashlights you see on TV for $19.99 for 9 bucks. Some people are astounded with this product and think it's the greatest thing since sliced toast, other think it's TOTAL JUNK. I love all 3 of my maros but i can see how some people might say they junk.
