Will pass on the first year in hopes a Z/28 is offered in the second year. Might have to wait for the third year. If there is no Z/28 (officially killed) then I'll look into ordering a 2SS once word on the Z is final. Did the same thing with my Wife's Solstice. Passed on the first year after hearing about a GXP variant. Glad we waited.

I guess I'll be getting a Vette instead.

Have you seen the passenger side of a vette?

Yeah, but at least I get the cockpit feel when I'm in the driver's seat and it doesn't sweep all the way across over the radio. Or, I could get a C5. Then the handle will break it up a little.

I'll wait till the prices come down. Incentives and lower financing will be in the cards. Over $2500 off on my ordered '87 IROC and $6500 off on my on the lot '04 GTO and over $3000 on my '06 GTO plus 0% financing for 60 months.
Why would I order a Camaro on the dealer's terms?
Cars are a depreciating asset. I'm never going to be at their mercy.
But if I were really smart I'd buy used. LOL.

When I do get a Camaro I'm keeping the Goat.

Well, I DID sit in one at the Indy event, and although I did like it I still will have to drive a real one before I plunk down cash. I can definately buy pretty much anything I want car wise, but I will never buy a car sight unseen (or as in this case un-driven). If they confirm next year that the Z28 will be built, I'll definately wait to get one of those instead too.

I am waiting....
My friend has a new vette Z06....
To me the car looks good in the magazines...And good in person
But its too low to the ground and very scary when you press on the gas...
So its best for me to wait and see how I feel in one......

The first year of a new generation/style of camaro have always been the worst. All the bugs need to get worked out and feedback will be sent back to GM. I'll wait until the 2nd or 3rd year to get the upgrades and when costs come down.

I really have my mind set on a Z/28. I love the 69 Z and I have a second gen Z and have had 3rd gen Z28 cars. I know its just a name but its the name I would like on my car. That and the price of everything (consumer goods) is driving me to pay off my current Daily driver before I buy a summer only car. My propane bill alone went from $170 last year to $300 this year. It sucks hard, I have been wanting to by a new Camaro for 10 years and now that I can buy one, everything else has gone to hell. I just hope by me waiting a year or 2 the car will be even better than it is at launch.

Ive been tempted, but I can't order without seeing one in person. If I ordered one it would be:
2SS
Victory Red
Black Leather
Automatic

I've seen a picture of a Red SS and it just doesnt look right. Right now im leaning towards 2LT RS Victory Red, Black Leather, Automatic. But i wont know until i can see a SS in person. I just think the non-functional air induction hole looks weird on the Red. I'm really hoping for a Z28, the V6 styling, with a V8 under the hood. Ive been hoping for that all along. When they announced the V6 & the SS i was a little disappointed.
I have to wait till summer, need to be able to put $17k down or more. Total OTD is $37,780, yellow, RS/2SS Hurst shifter&black rally strip pkg.

well Im thinking used. Ideally though I would like to move up within my company and buy new. Either way it will be some variation of LS3 V8 or not at all. I have no interest in the V6. This crisis hasnt affected me yet as much as others in terms of 401k. Ive pulled my 401k money to preservatoin funds when the DOW peaked. mostly anyway, I have lost 4,000 wich isnt much considering. My concern is job security and wondering if there is still room for advancement at my company like Im hoping for.

Well, anyone who knows me knows that I have little choice but to wait for the G8 ST.

Still, I wouldn't rule out a new Camaro down the road a ways.

I do miss my f-bodies.
