The Internet is so powerful. We're watching that all the time. Camaro Clubs have their Web sites. We look at that.

Re: Another Camaro interview....

Funny thing is I wanted them to ask why no other Gen (the car has some obvious Third Gen influence) is ever mentioned on the design. Their answer was of course that it is designed after the 1st Gens and the 69 especially. Anyone that knows Camaros knows that this car is more 68 than anything besides the hood, lousy grill, and drivers side dash. I like how they keep forwarding retro BS.

Aside the Tail lights and fender flairs where do you see 68?

Both sides of the car, (some Third there too) the taillights, the console gauges, (started in 68 with that style) quarter panels, etc. If it was like a 69 it'd have the fender lines, that's the biggest feature of those cars. I wish the car used a 68 grill also.

yeah the front fender does look 68 now that you mention it. 68 seems to have sharper angles where the top of the fenders meet the hoodline. 69 didnt have fender flares over the wheels and the front fenders bulge out in a more rounded look.

The rear 1/4s look more 69 to me with the 68/67 fender flares over the wheels. Doesnt 68 rear 1/4s have more of a downward angle than 69 or no? But honestly from ther rear wheel back looks like its stright off a C6

To me the biggest feature of the 69 if I had to pick just one, is the recessed headlights and the whole front end look.

Re: Another Camaro interview....

FWIW, To me its almost as if they took the 3rd gen's aggressive styling and applied it to the 68-69 design. Furthermore, there's more current C6 and Cadillac design influence than people realize. It's not as retro as you think.

Thats what I thought when I saw it too. All its lines are hard and creased (and damn good looking ) just like the C6's and Caddys Art and Science designs.
