We're in for a Rally Yellow, 2SS/RS with gray interior, M6, car cover and Hurst shifter.
We'll have custom stripes painted on it once we get it home.
We'll also add the fuel door and splash guards - since it's rainy where we live and there's rocks on the road.

 

My local dealer said that no one has come by and placed an order for a Camaro yet, and that I had more info on hand than they had (thanks CZ28.com )! I do plan on stopping by tomorrow evening, and seeing how this process will go. I have never ordered a car before, so this will be new for me....although all my other f-bodies came from this same dealer.....will they need to look up my FICO score 'if' I order, or how does that work? Don't mean to sound ignorant, but I want to be loaded w/ the info

I also don't plan on ordering unless they will do MSRP in writing.

 

Okay, just got off the phone with the "sales manager" at my Chevy dealer. I placed an order yesterday, and I was first. They have an allocation of 6 Camaros. They say they can't place the order yet. I told him about the "quick order" thing and he was familiar with it, but said he won't order cars with that method because extras get added automatically and the order won't go through as placed.

He said this is a national problem that GM isn't actually accepting normal sold orders yet.

So was anyone able to make a normal sold order yet and receive a confirmation code? I'm starting to feel a little worried. Should I?

 

I most certainly have my 6 digit alpha-numeric confirmation code. Keep in mind that it indeed had to be ordered through the "quick-order" system. It is listed as:
"Preliminary Order Detail- Order # ND...."

 

I am in the process of ordering one for the CFO of my company...

Inferno Orange with Black leather.
Undecided on stripe color yet, but leaning toward white.
LS3 / 6 speed manual.
RS package.
Polished wheels.
Maybe the Sunroof .


I am trying to push the Inferno Orange interior on him too...

You got more backbone then me. I couldn't do it unless of course I had already ordered mine.

 

I'd like to get one, I just don't have anywhere to put it...

With the 2 babies, having a 4 seat 'cruiser car' would be kind of fun I think... The Corvette fails at this.

 

ordered my 2SS Monday morning.

 

I envy all of you ordering your Camaro now. The good thing is I will be purchasing a 2SS convertible (if offered) in 2009. The bad thing is I have to sell our house for a bigger one.
I am hoping the market breaks next year and then I will be set order the convertible

 

Alright to update this, we just finalized the order... and he decided to kill the stripes altogether, and go with the all black interior.

It'll be intersting to see how many 2SS's get built with no stripes.

 

Actually I'm currently leaning towards a 2SS/RS without stripes.

 

Good to see all of the orders. I bet I was the first one to cancel my order...after my dealer changed their mind on MSRP. Well, I re-ordered yesterday with another dealer and at MSRP!!. 2SS black/black with polished 20's and blade spoiler.

I want the RS HID and taillights, but I'm not sold on the painted wheels.

 

So we still can't get the polished wheels w/ the RS?
