On-Again-Off-Again-On-Again-Off-Again Chevrolet Camaro Convertible On Again. Maybe.
with all the work they've done, I can't imagine it's anything but a matter of when the convertibles will hit dealerships. They sure look great... aside from tan on silver. I'd assume that would change before they are sold!
it would be nice to have a choice of what top you want. tan or black. tan would look good on all but silver, yellow and cyber grey. i think it looks great though. im not ah uge vert fan. but it looks very fitting for the car.
Probably had tan tops available from the supplier and silver bodies available to put them on. It's about functionality over looks right now.
I agree with 2010 5th Gen that a choice of tops is nice and tan would look good on most of the Camaro colors, but silver isn't one of them.
I think red with a tan interior and top usually looks classy.

The date's been moved a couple of times based on the money GM felt it would have available to launch it. Keep in mind that GM has a very aggressive launch schedule over the next 2-3 years.
Every Cadillac save the CTS, every Chevrolet car save the Camaro, and every Buick will either have a reskinning or be replaced with a new model in less than 36 months.
In the midst of all these high importance vehicles and a limited amount of cash, and a good sized loan to pay back (not to mention the feds want to start selling off their shares of GM next year), a convertible version of a Camaro that's already being produced at almost full capacity to meet demand isn't going to be as important as repairing sales where it's needed.
There is most likely some kind of roll over protection system, probably not a roll bar that's there all the time, but roll bars that pop up when it detects a rollover, like in my car. Then again, my cars a Volvo, so it has a few more safety features than most....
its not a wrangler.the 4th gen didnt have any type of roll bar. i dont even think my grandmas bmw 335i has a roll bar. the only thing it might have is a wind screen. and thats not gonna save you from jack if you get flipped.
Exactly. The Truth About Cars may clarify this in the body of their story, but I refuse to click through, I'm no longer giving them page views because I grew tired of their unwarranted tirades against American cars in general and GM cars in particular. The last article I read there was one in which they dogged the Cadillac DTS for no good reason - finding the most nit picky non problems and blowing them up, inventing issues for the sake of a juicy story.
