5th Gen Grill in Spy Shots?

Anyone notice the different grill on the prototype Camaro? It reminds me a lot of the RS hideaway headlights. Thoughts? Comments?

It looks more 'sharp' and less showy than the concept's. I love it!

Of course...it could always be a placeholder like the lights...but I still like it.

On another note, the brakes look small, like single piston units. I would think the production units would be bigger.

The new grille looks infinitely better than the one on the concept. It makes the car look sleek and sporty. I would kill to have RS-style hideaway headlights with this grille. Hopefully the aftermarket can accomodate us if GM doesn't.

I actually think it looks a little ho-hum. When I think of a grill, I think of basically what's in the prototype pics. The concepts grill has its own look, which I think looks more agressive (like an animal growling at you). A lot of folks who saw the concept in person (such as myself) commented that the concept looked like it could eat the cars around it. It gave it a distinctive (non-mustang) look.

I have to say that I prefer the concepts grill too. But not bashing, I'll take whatever grill GM gives me and like it.

I actually like both grills. Concept and what is possibly the final production grill. It's been said 100 times, if you don't like it, there should be 10 or 20 different aftermarket ones to choose from once the car is out.

I wonder how a billet insert would look?....

1. The prototype lamps are not production spec.

2. Fbodfather has already hinted that there may be more than one grill.

Yep, I bet what we are seeing is the V6 grill.

If that's the case, and the V8 cars get the concept's grille, I'll be swapping to the "lowly" V6 version.

Id like to see perhaps a black mesh type grill, instead of the traditional first gen bars?

Im thinking an RS alternative will be an option. Hideaway headlights will not be offered. Thats in stone.

That grille is first gent inspired, and is very stunning. The first gen however was a mesh grille in both open headlights and RS front end. Im not aware of a 1st gen grille with bars. Did you mean the other way around?
