'10 Camaro SS SLP 454 ZL?

FORGIVE ME if this is any kind of a re-post, but this is news to me:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SLP-4...item3a561970a3

What is 454 about it? I thought the 6.2L was a 377ci? are they refering to HP? Is it 454 made? (seems like no internal engine mods).

Interesting that it is not an RS, but the people seem to be bidding on it.

Yes, the ZL numbers are horsepower levels, based on the old cubic inch designations.

Wow, that's a bargain if it sells for under $40k.

So have they gone through the pain staking trouble of tuning it to exactly 454HP or did they just randomly pick a nostalgic number?

It's nice but not $39k nice and certainly not almost $46K nice as they list on the page.

I guess they are saying that a axle back exhaust, underdrive pullies, cold air kit and custom tune will yield 28bhp. That might actually be conservative depending on the tune. Although they probably are not tuning it like aftermarket speed shop would.

I'm not a fan of the mailslot especially with an aftermarket hood but just putting a piece to fit inside doesn't look good either. It needs to be filled in the right way.

Nice package that could probably be tweaked further. I'd like a ZL1 hood. Not a fan of this one. It sits too far forward.

<$40k is a steal for this car. Out here dealers are still asking more for dead stock Camaro SSes.
