I know...
This is the only Camaro forum I'm part of, and that's because I prefer the cumulative knowledge that comes with being party to all generations of the car.....but, for some reason they seem to get most of the good pictures.
I was hesitant to order that interior as I didn't really like it on the silver car and was guessing what it would look like on black. I'm sticking with it now.

Seriously Hendrick donates a ton of cash to charity in return he get's the first two 5th gens and there are tens of thousands more behind those that anyone can get for MSRP or less. Nothing wrong with being rich.

Ok... I am confused.
In the video that shows Rick driving the car off the line, the car behind him was yellow. I assumed that this was vin #0002. That #2 car in the pics is obviously not yellow. What am I missing here?

Yes. I'm not sure that VIN#2 or #1 for that matter meant that they were the first two off the line. Some of those cars are Captured Test Fleet cars and what not.

Well he is rich but it's not like GM gave him the cars as he bid for them at Barrett-Jackson just like anyone else could have. The difference is he was able to and the large sum of money spent on the cars went to charity.

It was a staged media event. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the cars behind Hendrick's were CTF cars?! ... or they could have been VIN# 100+ for all we know!?

Nice pics! Does this mean we 'regular' owners will start getting our cars this week??

Rick Hendrick bought the first retail Camaro for $500,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale AZ auction with all the money going to charity. GM gave the winning bidder the option to buy the 2nd Camaro to roll off the line. If you wanted the first off the line you should have bid agenst him. I think it's great that the big three automakers give high value cars to be auctioned off for charity. And hats off to people like Rick Hendrick and Ron Pratt who are willing to pay alot of money for these cars
