I could be wrong, but it seems to me that GM is probably using this as an opportunity to move some V6 cars. With V8 orders running at such a high percentage, maybe they think that they can increase 1LT take rate by offering (at least initially) a special edition that isn't available on other Camaros. Dealers will probably order these more heavily than they are other 1LT models right now.

With all the trouble it takes to change a paint color in today's modern paint shops, would they put in a green for just one run? Maybe they would but I don't know.
