Who thinks the 2010 Camaro is "ugly"?

Other than the rear, I loved the new Camaro concept. Over the long period of time this concept has taken to become production (and yes, we are still waiting), we have now seen what the car will look like.

I am now so turned off by the appearance alone, that I can honestly say I will not be purchasing one. I am curious to see how many people feel the same way I do, or feel in general about the appearance of the Camaro as a whole.

Vote now!

seeing as how MUCH of the concept is still incorporated into the production version, i am curious to hear why you suddenly are repulsed by the camaro.

I remember back in 92....I hated the 4th gen so much, thought it looked like pure crap. That ugly *** pace car was everywhere you looked.

Now I don't think they are so bad...

i have been a lurker for a bit on here, but I have to come out and say that I think the preproduction looks great. I don't understand how you can say you are turned off when the preproduction looks very similar to the concept and fbodfather said that you wouldn't even tell the difference when you drive the down the highway and see the new production camaro compared to the concept.

Do I think it's ugly?

Hell. No!

I'm infatuated with the looks of this car. Somehow, some way...they're gonna have to try and top it come redesign. Talk about setting a bar real high.

I can see different tastes, ect - And I TOTALY respect that...but ugly? Naw, it may not be your "cup 'o tea"...but do you really think it's ugly??

I think they should have kept it identical to the prototype, just what dodge should have done with the charger concept. I can't say much about it until, I sit in it, see it and drive it down the road though.

Whatever anyone says about it unless you've seen it in person, and have sat and drove it your opinion on the car is biased, considering all you've seen is pictures. I know I'll want one a few minutes after test driving it.

I kinda agree. Although if the latest pictures are accurate of what it will be like, seeing it in person will really be no different for me at least.

The wheels, and the interior, are the biggest turn offs of the current pictures compared to the concepts for me. Also, and most of you guys probably know the facts on this compared to my opinion, but it seems like the concept was wider and sleeker, compared to the more "boxy" car that is shown in the latest pictures. The headlights I actually like more than the concept ones, and I still find the rear ugly just as I did with the concept one.

I probably should have figured I would be outnumbered on this one posting a question like this in a Camaro enthusiest board who will be more biased than the general public as most of us on here are Camaro lovers.

ok im not going to start a flame war but you are a complete tool. how are we being biased for loving the new camaro? because we don't think the car is ugly we are being biased? wow.

and if you would have read ALL of fbodfather's posts, alot of the interior that we have seen is NOT final. if you were expecting the production camaro to be LINE FOR LINE PIECE FOR PIECE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE CONCEPT than my friend you really have no common sense.

I understand from the cost factor to why it's not going to be identical to the protoype...duh. I wish they would have stuck with a few things the protoype had like the sleekness/wideness the protoype had. The test cars do look somewhat like a box. I still like the car though
What I don't understand is how people can justify saying the car is ugly and the interior is **** blah blah blah, when A: you've not seen one in person B: The final product is not on any car lots yet and C: Some of you guys that have talked so much crap about the car are going end up getting one anyways so just calm down and wait for the cars to hit the open market, then you can judge all you want...

You are biased because you belong to a Camaro enthusiest board. Meaning the vast majority of people on this board love Camaro's and therefore will also like the new Camaro. Compared to the open public that may or may not have specific enthusiasum for Camaro's.

If this were a simple "Automotive" board with people not specifically directed towards any specific car or Automotive group, then the results would be less biased. This is what I meant by it.

As for the concept vs the current/latest pictures vs what will really be in the car; I understand the pictures won't neccisarily be what the car is, however the reality is that the final car will be closer to the pictures than the original concept as the pictures from the concept are mearly the evolution of the car from design to production. Perhaps they will change the things I deem "ugly", but my guess is the pictures won't be far off from what the final car will actually be.
