Ditto. Even worse were the 67-68s with the gas filler above the rear bumper. Do you know how many times I've spilled gas on the paint and on the bumper? EVERY TIME I FILL 'ER UP!

Yeah, chrome bumpers have seen their time, theyre beautiful but are very heavy and also are dangerous during an accident, but have sherman-tank durable unlike the bs 5mph bumpers that are filled with plastic and foam.

Would you like to see chrome trim and such? or were you talking about bumpers? Personally I'm a fan of "body match" paint scheme, but it would be nice to maybe opt for a chrome trim package if they made it available.

Use the gas cap as a wedge in the hinge to brace the plate down. No worries.

Yeah, I know that trick. It only helps a little. It's still 100x more frustrating than a regular fuel door.

They have a kit out for the mustangs, seen here. Doesn't look too bad in person, kinda nice on a pony package. Maybe they'll come up with something similar for the camaro

There wasn't t-tops on the 1st gen Camaro, so why would there be t-tops on the 5th gen since it is a retro version of the 1st gen? It would look pretty stupid and out of place.

There are lots of things that will be on the 5th Gen that weren't on the 1st. Should they all be removed for the sake of being a tad 'retro'?

It's a Modern Retro Inspired Camaro. Not a full-on retro copy (see the Challenger if that's what you want).

I'm not saying it should be an exact copy of the 1st gen. I'm not asking for a TH350 tranny or a 4 barrel carb, but the looks are retro and mixing t-tops with a retro version of the 1st gen would look plain wrong. Now a removeable targa top that is body color would be ok. Glass tops with a "T" in the middle is not.

Safety concerns played a factor, I'm sure.
