will wax on vinyl stripes build up and discolor eventually ? anybody have experience with yhis ?

 

I am told to avoid polish/wax on any vinyl graphics, and be especially careful around the edges.

 

I can second that They seem to not enjoy being waxed and having to wipe the wax off around the edges will lead to them pealing.

 

Also be careful when using any sort of clay. Run over the edge and it could lift the vinyl and shove a little clay under it.

 

Do NOT wax anything flat black.

 

what about gloss black stripes

 

gloss black is normally ok. just flat is not good.

 

I've been putting wax on decals since the mid 90s and never had any issue. I even apply it to my clear bra, for 6 yrs now and no problem. Wax build up on edge, piece of cake, just wipe along the edges with my fingernail.

 

waxing stripes is fine but not flat black stripes.
