Side mirrors. What else is left to talk about?

I'm guessing that production ones will be A)larger, and B)might come with some LEDs for turn signals.

Will definitely have to be larger and most certainly will have to still fit in with the body lines so it doesn't look like a Mickey Mouse ear.

If I were to look into my crystal ball, I would not be worried (as I always say).

Not sure if you've seen the following pic yet, but I would think it's safe to assume that that the mule has the production mirror.

Obviously bigger, but I think it still looks good considering.

As far as the LED's, hard to say. Personally, I don't like them. I think they look goofy and don't really see the necessity.

Extra awareness, like a high mounted Center stop light.

I've seen that pic yes, and if those are production side mirrors, then I'm cool with that.

I hope they aren't power though, cause that's an extra 10# we really don't need, or does it?

I sure hope they have LED's.

I am so tired of hearing about added weight hear and there. For all of you guys that don't want all the power options, go buy a first or second gen that doesn't have it and put an LS3 in it and be done with it.

Do any of you really think that the car won't come with everything power? I bet GM didn't know that they were preparing to sell 150K drag strip bound cars. Hell, let's drop the AC, power steering, power door locks, power brakes (who needs to stop?) What else can we lose? Oh yeah, power seats. "Set it and forget it." Maybe Ron Popeil can be the new national spokesman. And we don't need anything but automatics, but no paddle shifters. That would add too much weight with the servos, etc. And without the added weight of the clutch pedal, that would save some more fat off the car. Let's don't even have a back seat either. Why add the weight of upholstery, carpet, etc.?

Sorry for the rant, but this weight crap is wore out......

It's simply cheaper to make everything powered these days. That way, you only have to make one set of interior door panels to accomodate the window switches and lock toggles and mirror controls. Like it or lump it, that's the way things are going, and have been going for probably the past two decades...

So, we'll either get them, or we won't is what you're saying, I understand that.
It's A or B with no choice.

If someone isn't in a position to see your tail light signal, they're either right next to you or close enough to where you have no business changing lanes anyway. I've noticed some people who use them like truckers, hit the signal to tell the other guy "I'm changing lanes whether you're next to me or not, so get the hell out of my way". Don't care for them at all.

.....but that's just me

As far as the extra 10lbs for power mirrors....Even IF the wiring, switches and motors weighed 10lbs (I'd guess under 5lbs if that) it's a pretty cheap price to pay weight wise. If somebody is that concerned about 10lbs, they can just make it a point to fill up 1 1/2 gallons short of a full tank when they get gas .

And nevermind the fact that some of those manual options weight more than there power counterparts.

I completely understand why any car, and especially a "performance" car needs to be light. But it's 2007 not 1967, and neither safety nor a business case allow for a 3,300 pound car with any level of comfort to be reasonable priced.

The very same people who complained about the "engine in a box" people are now demanding it be the size and weight of a miata, when most americans are bigger and heavier than that.
