RS Taillight Difference Pics Inside
RS Taillight Difference Pics Inside
This is just an informational post due to the great ways you can see the difference.

The picture above is without the RS package, as you can see, inside the actual taillight itself the bottom "U" shape is the red color.

This last picture though shows a much darker lip on the "U" shape in the taillight, almost a dark maroon.
Hope this helps

I wouldn't exactly trust those pictures to be perfect. If the camera was on automatic, it could have changed exposure or white balance and give different looking pictures, when in reality, the taillights could look the same. And to me, the red in the chrome trim ring just looks like a reflection of the lens in the chrome. The pictures are taken from slightly different elevations, so the reflections could have easily played out differently.
The differences were mentioned in the first post. the bottom U shape is a darker color red then the other parts of the light.
personally the pics to me show it very clearly, as well as browsing through the other countless pictures for that particular event.
The yellow camaro is a standard LT/RS but as you can see the grey is only an SS
and to 30thanniversaryz28, the amber taillights are for Australian drivers only ;(

I will agree that the camera may be playing *some* tricks on us, but- if anything the RS lamps would probably end up showing up lighter than in real life. The outer part of the RS lamps definitely look darker. I'm not so sure that's a major selling point- I'd have to see them with the lights on, I think that's when you (Mustang owners) would see the difference. LOL.
Isn't the silver is just an SS? the "SS" badge would be red if it had the RS package, unless I missed something...

To me the RS package is retarded and I'd just upgrade the HID, nothing else. I mean, darker tailights? Seriously?
And the SS is standard..no RS package.
correction made, i was unsure why i had ss/rs, but it was when i was in another mindstate.
regardless, like bitchin mentioned these are still pre-pub and alot may change.
the darker taillight lenses is definitly not worth the RS package, however the slight variances are nice...specially stock Halos

Nope... I was at the Indy event, these pics are just what they look like in real life. Note though, these are still production-intent pieces, so the final look could be slightly different.
