I POD hook up...

when using an ipod or mp3 player in the camaro, do you need to have the cord that connects from the ipod to the computer, in the car? or is there a cord that comes with the car to plug into? im just wanting to make sure i take the cord with me if i have to , when i pick up my car.

I think you'll need the cord that came with the iPod. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it...

I got one like just like it, I am not sure where I got it from but they are all from Hong Kong when it comes down to it so they are all the same no matter where you get them from. At that price, buy two and keep a spare or find a US seller and pay a bit more for the peace of mind.

A bunch of guys at work have those, they work great. Bought them all from here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.22486

They ship direct from HK and include shipping. Typically we get a bunch of guys together and order a hundred or so dollars worth of stuff from there, so I can vouch for them. Although they ship as cheap as possible, so don't order from there if you 'need it now'.

I have actually ordered some stuff from those guys before, and it did take a while but I expected it to.

I think this is item that I ordered and the seller I got it from a couple of months ago, but again, it doesn't really matter 'cause it is all the same.

My USB port in the car isn't working with my iPod. I am going to get the dealer to check it when I take in for service. It is working fine with the Aux Jack, just can't use the steering wheel controls to control the iPod this way.
