High Wing Spoiler

Has anyone opted for the high wing spoiler? On the recommendation of the dealer I was thinking of getting the Imperial Blue Camaro with RS package and getting the high wing spoiler, have the body shop paint it to match the body color, and then remove the RS spoiler and put on the high wing. When I asked the Dealer about doing that he mentioned that he assumes it bolts into the same place. Any advice?

EDIT: He also said that I would have to get a splitter on the front because the spoiler would put too much downforce on the car and would need the splitter to balance it back out, does the ground effects package cover this?

Do you really believe that the dealer knows anything about how body panels mount, much less the aerodynamics of the vehicle?

Dealer wants you to spend more money. He probably figures you will b/c you're spending extra on RS pkg.

Some colors come painted from factory but can't remember which ones. Got this info from my dealer. I believe those painted colors can also be factory ordered and not dealer installed.

Is he wrong? (remember, on the spoilers, he said they PROBABLY are the same, but he couldn't confirm)

To be honest he just mentioned I would need a splitter, I was just wondering if the ground effects package included one.

The spoiler is not an option for the imperial blue exterior. I think it only does red, black, orange, and silver(maybe cyber gray, I dunno).

high wing spoiler does not mount in the same holes as the stock rs spoiler. the dove tail spoiler does however. i dont even think the high wing spoiler is available yet. come to think of it, neither is the dove tail spoiler. i dont know what the deal is but i havent seen either one of them on any cars yet.

He is definitely wrong about the downforce issue. Unless you are running at 150+mph all the time.

He is more than likely wrong about the mounting. I haven't seen pics of the high rise spoiler, but from what it sounds like, it will be different.

Basically, in my personal experience salesmen knew next to nothing technical about the vehicles they were selling.
