Mark me down as another one that likes the location. Ironically that location was sometimes used in the trans am series on some Z/28s as it made refueling easier on pit stops. (Anyone that has filled a 67-68 Camaro knows what a headache they were.)
I like it alot, reminds me of the Viper GTS coupe an the old Trans Am cars.
My Vette had it in the middle of the decklid, fuel was never an issue, unless you weren't paying any attention and fat-fingered it.
It could be worse, my Lotus Esprit at TWO fuel fillers, one on each side of the car, with little 'wings' that popped open in the B pillar. Got quite a few stares when remotely popping them both open. Had to fill both sides separately if in a hurry, dual tanks connected only by a few hoses.
