I say drop the front bowtie altogether, leave the grille open to designate what model Camaro, as always,(SS, Z28 etc) and put the Camaro red/white/blue emblem just above the grille with its 'lil bowtie inlaid as always, make it gold...or modify to bring up to date...my point is, it will bring more heritage, just don't exactly copy the "old" image..

Any choppers?

Well, most 2nd gen on Camaros have had a variant of this as a nose emblem, if the 5th gen inherits a form of this, a modified form, it'll tie this one in with the past ones creating a heritage link.
The gold bow-tie breaks away from tradition...except for trucks.

Chevy is putting the Gold bowtie on all their vehicles. Even the vette has it hidden inside the flag emblem. I personally like the consistency of all the models having the bowtie. Back in '00-'05 it seemed that every model had its own logo and its own color bowtie if it had one at all.

I dunno, it just makes the line up look like their all from the same family.

But thats just me.

Well, if it's any consolation, the aftermarket will have a field day coming up with a whole bunch of ways to customize that large grill area on the 5th gen.

Hell, I have a blue Bowtie off a late 60s Malibu on the front of my 01.

Yes the gold bowtie. Honestly I can see chevy wanting to be big and bold with the new camaro; however, Im afraid that the current concept look will soon turn big and boring if chevy does not tend to customize the look. I personally prefer the side and rear decals anouncing to the world that this car is unique. We buy camaros for what they are and who we are as individuals. Our cars are a reflection of us (at least to me); and I do not want a big yellow bowtie stamped on my nose if im getting the real version (V8); give some artistic style at least. How long have they thought this out, and the best thing they come up with is a standard bowtie...??? A symbol is more important than one my first expect... you see that symbol and right away you know what it stands for. All chevy is telling me that this is not a permanent project. I guess im biased.

I'm not a big fan of the bowtie, but after Ford switched the rustang logo to this
in 2005, I really don't want something similar (4th gen nose badge) on my Z. If/when there is an SS i would like "SS" on my grill just like 1st gens.

Im thinking nothing in the grill would be better than the gold bow tie, or the red white and blue camaro logo.
