[Paint & Body] Custom "red" hood & hockey stripes

Custom "red" hood & hockey stripes
Since I could not got without a red trim and it wasnt a option color I worked out a deal with my dealer at the time of purchase. It took about 2 months but I finally had time to take it in and get the shade or red of my choice...
The red is almost identical to the SS badge red color.
My only complain was that since they were custom cut and not pre-cut from the factorey package stirpes avilable as I would have wished... The stripe guy cut along with a razor, so if these stripes ever come off for whatever reason the cut in outline will be there... ::SIGH:: He said it only affects the clear coat but it seems pretty deep if you take your eye to it closely
What do you guys think?

You should have went to a custom stripe shop. They could have computer cut the stripes and installed them or had them painted on. I'd be pissed if someone cut into the finish on my car.

looks good. i would never have let them cut that out on my car though. thats absolutely rediculous. whos gonna pay to have the clear buffed or wet sanded if those ever come off? not the installer im sure. it does look good, just dont ever take them off.
i want to do some flat black stripes on my car like your center piece up the hood. but i dont want the hockey stripes. i dont like hockey.

if i were u id take the car back to where i got the stripes put on and show that crap to the boss and tell them u want it rectified where the guy cut it. i work in paint and body and there are many times that i cut stripe on FRESHLY painted cars without even so much as a sctratch to the underlying area. its skill and experience. pretty soon that might start to chip or peel. if u go to have it wet sanded or any other sanding id be carefull with that as well. no car from any factory on the road today has near enough clearcoat on it to really effectively b able to do this and have the damage completely dissapear and it also increases the risk of burning through the paint with the buffer. not pretty. i agree that they should have computer cut those, especially with the size scale and matchability from sided to side. u waited 8 yrs for this car to come out, be aware, dont let just anyone work on ure car.
