does anyone know if there is anyone who makes any different bow tie emblems for the camaro yet? i want to replace the front and the back with a black/chrome chevy symbol. i think its going to go better with my final product. anything will help.

Can you take it off and have it painted? A guy where I work has a new Tahoe. He pulled the bowtie off and had it painted black.

 

it can come off but i dont want to tear the emblem appart to have it painted. i want one chrome on the outside and black, maybe carbon fiber on the inside. all enclosed and sealed. just like the origional.

 

I'm looking at the same thing..except probably red trimmed instead of chrome. One of the other sites ( I can't remember which ) had a picture of someone using flat black vinyl to change the color. I just didn't like the way it looked in flat black.

 

I found a chrome outlined black bowtie on I think a Monte Carlo and had a parts guy find the part number for me. I was going to use this on my Caprice, but years later I eventually put it on my wife's wimpala.

 

im wanting to stick with the camaro sized bowtie. im wanting the exact same thing that comes on it just black middle.

 

I'm just saying, there's a chance that there is another Chevy vehicle with exactly what you want. You just might have to look around.

Or, just paint the one you have...

 

I'm thinking it will have to be painted for now....I've seen the black ones on a few trucks (not sure if they were factory or not), but I believe Camaro is getting a redesigned bowtie, so nothing else will fit the grill insert right now.

 

maybe ill but another bowtie front and rear and tear them appart and paint them.
