Advice on exterior care please

Hey everyone i just joined this board and I see lots of great advice so i thought i would make a post and see if I can get some as well. I just got a 2010 camaro in Black and I have tried to take good care of it, i've washed it several times (mostly at a detail shop not too far from home), also i had the sealant put on about 3 weeks after I bought it. My problem is that I notice swirls and watermarks/streaks. I know when I have washed it myself that I have been very careful to get it completely dry, and not take too long. I use a california sqeegy, an absorber and microfiber towels. You cant see unless you get a few inches away from the paint, but i'm a perfectionist when it comes to my car. I am thinking of saving to get it repainted, but i dont know where I could go to get it done. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Any advise/input is appreciated

You could try the Show and Shine / Paint and Body Care forum as well, but I would suggest you invest in some Zaino products and read the FAQs and Application Tips carefully that are on their site. There's lots of great info there and that is all I have ever really used on my Camaros.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard they don't recommend waxing for the first few months to make sure the paint was cured. Maybe someone can chime in with the official recommendation from GM. Anyway....I was pretty much told the same thing when I had the airbrushing done on my bike (black paint). They told me it would be all right to use a glaze, however, so I bought some McGuier's Show Car Glaze. I still use the stuff before waxing as it takes the swirl marks out and really brings out the shine in the black. I've been using liquid glass on top of it.

I was told by the dealership not to put any wax on my car for 6 months. This was back in '96 when I picked up my new 3.8 V6 Camaro(5M, Y87). I'm not sure if the wait still applies now or not.

I'm pretty sure that other 2010 Camaro owners have waxed/polished already.

This goes back to the beginning of June.
