Unhappy Is 6 weeks a new record?

I've had my car just a little over 6 weeks. Even washed it last weekend and put 2 coats of wax on it....

then some stupid little 16 year old smashed into it in the Walmart parking lot with their Dodge Ram pickup truck trying to do a u-ie into a parking spot.

Darn near wiped the driver's side door right off.

No, there was no one hurt, thank goodness....but I'm heartbroken

OUCH! Damn, sorry to see that! Try not to worry, they should be able to fix that up as good as new. Glad no one was hurt!

What's the fun in that? I bought mine to enjoy driving it, not to wall it up in a garage. I had my 98 Z28 for 10 without as much as a scratch. That made the fact that this one got crumbled in a mere six weeks so hard to believe.

Update: My car just got picked up today. I found a really good shop that promises to make it as good as new. (at the other guy's expense, of course)

Keep your fingers crossed!

yeah i bought mine to drive it too. but not for some schmuck to clip it in a parking lot. sitting it in a walmart parking lot is not driving it , by the way. i drive mine when i get the chance, but im not gonna put it in a parking lot full of shopping carts and bad drivers. i had a 99 trans am and i drove that thing all the time. to the mall, stores, dinner. whatever. and i always left my t tops off. went to walmart one time, had trash in car through the t tops. spit on the hood and a scratch down the entire drivers side. ill never take anything worth money ,out there again. white trash/ghetto central.

I drive it a lot. I have 2500 miles in 3 months. But if I have to go to the store I'll drive my other car. Of course this isn't a daily cruiser. Never seen rain either. I'm looking at the future when I sell the car.
