Wheels
I've been looking into purchasing some new wheels for my 96 camaro. I like the the what I believe are the c6 style vette wheels. I would like to have 18x9.5's, but i'm lookin on ebay and the place that has the ones I want only come in 18x8.5's. I can get them in 17x9.5's. Any suggestions on which ones to wrap my car with, and are there in clearance issues with either of these? Also if anybody has a better place to buy some wheels and tires please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Wheels
Since you don't have any responses yet, let me try and help.
As long as you get wheels with the correct offset, there will be no clearance issue with 8.5" or 9.5" wheels. With the 9.5" wide wheels, I recommend an offset in the range of 45-56mm. Doesn't matter whether they are 17" or 18" wheels, the offset is affected by the wheel width, not the wheel diameter. With the 8.5" wide wheels, the offset in the range of 35-50mm will work best.
What tires came on your car stock? The V6's had 215/60-15 (26.1") or 235/55-16 (26.1"). The V8's had 235/55-16 or 245/50-16 (25.7"). You want the tire diameter as close as possible to the tires that were on your car when it left the factory, or you will have a small speedometer/odometer error. Any error can be corrected with PCM programming.
I ran 17x9.5 49mm offset all around with 275/40-17 tires, and had no problems at all.
If you have a link to the wheels you are interested in, I'll take a look at the fitment.
