Tire sizes for my new wheels

hey guys what size tires would fit these wheels for my 95 z28:

http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...p6901839.html#

what do you guys think of this package deal, is it a good buy?

http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...-p6902512.html

And also, I assume that even though its a package deal the tires will most likely still need to be mounted to the wheels, am I correct in thinking that?

Roughly how much would it cost to get the tires mounted to the wheels and put on my car at a tire place?

oh yes and 1 last question, when you buy wheels/wheel packages would I use the lug nuts from my stock wheels or do they come with new lug nuts or do I need to buy those as well.

Thanks in advanced for the help.

Re: Tire sizes for my new wheels

Exactly what are you buying?

The first link is to a 17 x 9.5" 54mm offset wheel. That would run a 275/40-17.

The second link is to 17 x 9.5" 54mm fronts with the 275/40-17s, and 17 x 11.0" 50mm rears, which would run the 315/35-17's. The package indicates the correct sizes for those wheels.

I've never ran a Sumitomo tire, so I can't help you there.

When you buy wheels and tires packages from Tire Rack, they come fully mounted and balanced. Don't know about OE Wheels - why not ask them. Depending on how many "extras" they try and sell you (e.g. - puncture protection, nitrogen fill, other BS) mounting and balancing will probably run you $20-25 each.

Make sure they use a "touchless" machine, so they don't scratch up the wheels.

Re: Tire sizes for my new wheels

well I am trying to figure out what I want to buy but this package deal seems to be my best bet. the only question left unanswered is about the lugnuts will either of these wheel sets come with new ones or do you use your stock lug nuts or do you need to buy new ones?

You have to ask the seller what is included. Some of the stock lugs are open-end with the external threads for the fake plastic nuts. You wouldn't want to use those if you have them. Not sure what the 95 stock wheels have. But the wheels use a standard conical nut.

Re: Tire sizes for my new wheels

Personally I would not go with the OE Wheels Package. Just order the Wheels you like separately and then use the recommended sizing to decide on which tires fit your bill (ie Summer vs. All Season, Performance level, brand specific etc...)

Then just order/purchase the tires separate.

Then you can just take everything to your preferred tire installer and have them Mount/Balance.

I have OE Wheels, but ordered BF Goodrich KDW IIs from Tirerack.com, which outperform any of the tires OE wheels tries to sell you in the packages.

Oh and my wheels came with Lug Nuts as well.

Re: Tire sizes for my new wheels

The package says discounted lugnuts are available, but doesn't indicate they're included, so you might wanna ask them when you call to order. Also, it does mention mounting and balancing in the additional info tab, so they probably would come that way. However, as was suggested, make sure you're ok with the tires, or just split it, get the rims there, tires elsewhere, so you know what you're getting, and what you like.
