E-brake light staying on...

The other day I was having some fun in the parking lot, and used my line lock kit to do a huge burnout (don't usually pull these stunts, but I was with some buddies ) And then I noticed that the rest of the day my e-brake light stayed on. By searching I found that the the e-brake light actually stays on when it senses difference in pressure in the breaking circuits, so that would explain it, but the light has remained on for a few days now. I even tried disconnecting and reconnecting my battery and it still stays lit up. Could I have a problem?

I used my line lock at the track a few weeks before and didn't have this problem.

Try bleeding the brakes or the ABS unit itself. My light was on for months until I bled the ABS unit.

Re: E-brake light staying on...

The switch that triggers the brake warning light doesn't always reset or center after it gets tripped by a pressure differential so go back to the parking lot and try some really hard braking from speed. That'll usually be enough to reset it.
