New to nitrous, couple of questions...

Hey there, I've been thinking of adding Nitrous to my car after I do my ported heads. I guess the question I have is what safety regs would I have to follow to be legal at the track? Is there anything special I would have to do that wouldn't be included within a "kit". Also, what is the difference between a dry vs. wet shot and what is better? Thanks

Aaron

for an lt1 get a wet kit.
too be legal you need a blowdown tube
too be safe you need a wot switch, a fpss, if you have a stick you should get a window switch as well.

What exactly is a blow down tube? How much do they cost? Install hard at all? Thanks

on your bottle, one end of the fitting gets connected to your feed line which you run to your intake, the other gets connected to the blow down tube, you then drill a hole wherever the bottle is mounted through the floorboard, so that it "blows down" outside the vehicle.

my kit came with a blow down tube, and i still havent istalled it....lol......but i defineatly recommend a WOT switch and window switch, just for the safety aspects.....low rpm nitrous backfires are killer let me tell you!
