Distributor bolt stuck

Distributor bolt stuck

I need to adjust my timing in my 86 trans am, 305 carb, i just cant get the distributor hold down bolt loose, i used a closed end 9/16 wrench and i pulled towards the driver side, what can i do to get it off? is there some speaical wrench? please help

Yup, its called a distributor hold down bolt wrench. Looks like you live right around the corner. I've got one, or you could get one from just about any parts store. I got mine from Sears for $10

There is a special wrench but they can still sometimes be a pain. On my Formula (91) it was so tight when it finally came loose I thought I snapped it off.

Yeah, they can seize in there especially if it's a factory aluminum intake. Don't round it off- then you're in trouble. Get the right wrench.
