questions about tuning on a bolt on car?
I was talking to a guy the other night and he told me he picked up .3 in quarter just by getting custom tuning done. He had a 02 ws6 with almost the same mods as me. Do any of you have knowledge on this? I can get it done for under 200 but I want to make sure I will really see a improvement. I didn't think a mostly stock car would benifit much?

With the mods you've got listed, it is possible that you are running pretty lean, and *may* benefit from tuning. I, too, have a bolt-on car, and picked up ~10hp/10tq from simple dyno tuning using LS1Edit. If you plan on doing a lot of mods to your car, LS1Edit is a good investment. Otherwise, I think you'd spend almost the same amount (~400-500$) just to get a single shop tune done...
good luck,
Shane

then again you may be running really rich..
you have no way of knowing for sure how much your car will pick up..
some cars repsond better based off who knows what... you wont know till you get it done for sure.

When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest castle in all of England.

Or if you have a little black smoke out the pipes at WOT, then you know you're running rich and could use a tuning.
I need to get LS1 Edit and tune my ride.
