The Vancouver Auction Scene - Help Needed!!!
Hey guys,
A family member is looking to buy a car and I'm looking to go beyond conventional means to search for a good deal. Someone recommended going to an auction.
How exactly does this work? Can I preview before I buy? Are there warranty's offered? Is there a website for more information? Any and all info is greatly appreciated .
BTW - the buyer is looking to spend $4-6K CDN for a reliable, sporty vehicle. If anyone has anything for sale or any leads, please let me know.
TIA.

hey i never purchase one from an auction but my buddy did
they let you start the cars and look inside of them and stuff, they wont let you take them off the lot.
Im pretty sure they give some sort of warrantly like 25-50 km (not much)
its worth a shot i guess....
Good Luck

Hey aly i got friends that are harsh into the auction scene. They might be coming up this weekend to head out too one in surrey not too sure.
Also from my undrstanding you basically get to fire it up if it starts up. Half of the time the batteries in them are dead. Also you get too move it around slightly. However i believe in the world of auctions there are no returns or warranties you buy at your own risk. If it dies pulling out of the yard it is still yours. Also it is rather hard to get a great grasp on it, first auction i went to i couldnt figure out what the hell the dude was saying. Got a freaking headache from listening to him all day long. :S
It is a rather scetchy sceneraio but there are deals to be had. The only prob is you basically have to buy on impulse, you hesitate for one sec and you loose out.
Anyways later if i head out this weekend i will drop you a line
Later
Mike

Thanks for all the help/advice guys. Rudi or Mike, please let me know if you're heading down there, I may drop by.
Is there a website/information center regarding the process? Where do I go? What time? What days?
Sorry for the ignorant questions. TIA.
A.
