ls1 help on parts fast....

Im wanting these things... cam, springs, retainers, rockers (titanum, or standard), lifters (zo6 lifters?) intake (ls6 or fast) are they the same throttle body? timing chain kit(ls1? or ls6)
Money is limited to $2,500...

Car got flooded so insurance is pulling motor getting me a junkyard motor and while its out i want to put some things in soo it dont cost me more later on..

Things on car atm . long tube headers, auto staller, air lid, umm the exhaust is a electric cutout, hypertech programmer 3, msd wires and plugs.

For the things i need.. could u post some good site's where i can find alot of those things... or a site of that product... trying to save money so i could put more stuff in it... for the cam.. i kno nothing about cams... the car isnt going to be a drag car. but is a daily driver. but i want it to be fast for when i do hit the strip on a weekend.. times on the drag strip i would like the range of 10-13's

The engine setup in my sig was about $1800, it included heads, cam and all the gaskets needed to complete the swap. My cam isn't very aggressive, is this going to be your daily driver? If so i would go with a 224R cam or 228R (more aggressive) i would go with this package:

That's what i have, then invest $70 in some LS7 lifters, $110 for a ported oil pump and $30 for a LS6 timing chain. A used LS6 intake could be had from $200-$500. Here's a couple of videos of how mine turned out:

I would get rid of that Tsunami cam, it's too aggressive. Seems like prices have gone up some, i would call them up, they are good people and will help you out step by step.

why would i go with a 224R or the 228R if its a daily driver... u said its more aggressive... and it will be a daily driver... the first package i put up was 400$'s cheaper is there a reason the 1600. is better?

I said the 228R was more aggressive than the 224R, you had the Tsunami cam in that package you posted which is 235/240 that's a monster compared to the 224 and 228 cams. The 224R is pretty mellow 224/224 and the 228R is a step up from the 224R at 228/228, it's not that bad but i would go with the 224R for an all out daily driver.

The packages are quite similar actually, the more expensive package has slightly better flowing heads and higher compression ration. If you want to keep it right at the budget i would stick with the package you posted with either the 224R or 228R cam....Make sure you order by phone, you might get a discount and they can help you choose a good cam.

Curious, where are Ls7 lifters 70 bucks?

AFAIK, they have been 120-140 for a long time now.

You are correct, prices really shot up this past year I paid $150.00 for my CTS-V lifters a little over a year ago and now the regular LS7 lifters are $130.

+1 for texas speed. I bought their 408ci LQ9 short-block with forged internals, put in an F-13 big injectors, and im a happy man.

Double check those head prices, a lot of times they come fully assembeled and at 1400, they should be, or I'm horrible at keeping up with prices

What do you mean you can't figure out what it is? You don't know what a stall is or you don't know which speed you have?
