Where can i get a bigger than stock timing gear??

i'm in the middle of building a 355 LT1.. the block was line honed and line bored.. the crank was cut .010 under.. i got the correct bearings for it, but turns out the timing chain has a bit too much slack.. it's a stock chain with stock gears.. i need a crank timing gear that is +.080 over stock.. i've called Cloyes and they said they said that they dont have them... can someone please give me some help here..

thanks
vinne

Cloyes offers a short chain for align honed blocks. Never seen a oversize gear, just the short chain.

Wouldnt a larger cam gear totally throw off the cam to crank timing? Unless they were both oversized I suspect after a couple of revolutions valves would be opening when they're not supposed to and that is never good

Unless they are kept in a 2:1 rotation ratio yes the timing will be off.

The double roller has a larger gearset.

Stock chain? Why??? That thing should not be reused on a stock engine IMO much less on a hi-rev application, new or used, friction city. If you have no choice due to race rules though, just replace it libberally and watch the RPMs. The chains are $18 last I checked.
