Post Need Advice PLEASE

I have a set the Boston Accoustic 653's (6.5in plus the 4in and also the tweeter all ran through one crossover) set up for my front speakers and I was looking into the 12in Kicker Solo Baric L7 and the Kicker 800.4 amp in order to run all of it. I need help on deciding on the amp or amps and the sub to run. Please any input ASAP would like to finish soon.

That amp is enough to run the l7 alone if you bridge 2 channels to each coil (get the dual 4ohm) or just get a two channel or in kickers case mono amp for the sub(Cheaper) and a smaller 4 channel for the highs. If you use one sub you have enough room to use the ported box. Dont forget to break it in first.
You could switch to the L5 series they perform similar but require less power then you could use that single amp setup.
Good Luck,

Personally I would run the L7 off of a seperate amp than my seperates. Mainly due to the fact that no matter what Seperates you have the L7 will want a lot more power than the seperates running on the same amp. Not to mention to get the s12L7s to sound good you HAVE to feed them well, I'm talking about a MINIMUM of ~500 Watts RMS... I'm running 800 WRMS @ 12V to each of my s12L7s and they sound really nice. I've heard underpowered L7s and they sound like crap.

Well if you did want to run everything off of one amp, with a single s12L7 with dual 4 ohm VCs, find a 4 channel amp that's 1 ohm stable in Stereo mode. and that has a RMS rating of 150 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

I ALWAYS run my subs off of a seperate amp in any of the systems/installs that I do, just because I know how people push their systems, and the Sub amp is the one that gets pushed the most.
