You ordered the wrong size. Its 6 3/4, I ordered 6 1/2 jbl's and I had to drill two holes to get them to fit!

-Flowmaster muffler 80 series with quad tips,
-White Racing Stripes
-LeBra front end cover,
-Interior purple neons

-Car audio
180 Watt Kenwood head unit
jbl's all around
2 10" Jensen 375 watt subs with a 250 watt amp (I know its cheap but I really don't want to kill any little old ladies)

Basically the speakers that fit our cars are oversized 6.5's, dubbed "6.5 S", which actually are 6 3/4.

Those speakers will fit fine.

I am running the exact same ones up front, and older Infinity Refrence in the back.

Instead of holding onto 4 screws, they are on 3.

It is fine, and btw, Inifinity does not make 6 and 3/4

Infinity does too make 6.75" speakers, or else what do I have in my car??? Their older Kappa's were 6.52i's I believe, but I know for a fact they are 6.75s, I have them in my car, and in my GFs 97 Jetta.

WHY? it is more expensive to buy twice the speakers and it draws the soundstage back (undesirable).
Leaving them out has two very positive effects, it improves the sound imaging, and it is cheaper... win-win situation.
