a little background on the car...

95 z28 LT1 110,000k miles STOCK motor. (all apearence)

the car sits in storage unit for like 1-2 weeks at a time. so i drove it like 3 days ago, ran fine and i parked it. went there today to move it out a little to wash the floor (oil stain)

i sit in and crank it for like 10 seconds with NOTHING. so i turn the key off. now i have the fuel gauge on the a-piller. and it was/still reading 35-40 psi. and the pump was priming.

so i push the gas a little and crank it. fires right up but dies RIGHT away (8-10 times)

so i get mad and floor it, turn the key and the damn thing goes up to 3k rpm, i keep it there for like 10 seconds, but it was running VERY rough and LOUD. also ALOT of smoke (not black just normal gray and white) because it was 25* outside.

anyway after about 10 seconds of doing that i feel a jolt and in a second the car sounds and runs fine. i even let off the gas and let it sit for 10 mins while i did the floor. shut it off and re-started it like 5-6 times with no problem.

NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TOO.

im afraid to take the car out now lol

FYI,........ very bad water pump leak last year. (about 10k miles ago though)
when i changed the pump the opti was all green and shyt from the anifreeze. but i think its the origional opti. (last owner said he never changed it)

 

Is that same opti in there, or did you change it?

 

same. it ran fine for 10k miles though... and it was wierd because it just ran fine after it did that. sound like the opti? or fuel injector?

went there after work and turned the key, fuel pressure primed at 25 and then falls to
20... stated right up though. first turn.

 

i would check simple stuff like plugs. or even your battery. the computer wont run unless you have 12.4 volts or something like that

 

What's the fuel pressure with the engine idling? 25psi isn't enough.
