Split BLM/IAC fix-Anyone tried the "tube trick" from throttle body to manifold?
I was wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of this trick. I guess a brass or some type of metal tube is put into the front of the manifold to align it with the IAC passage in the throttle body? I'm sure I don't have the method exactly right, but can anyone help me? Thanks
This works for aftermarket TB's. The stock TB (and aftermarkets) you just have to close off the blades all the way and then drill out the idle air passage to bring the IAC counts back down to an acceptable level.

Yes, with my aftermarket TB and cam, it helped a LOT. I needed to upsize a bit from the recommended size, but I started small. Use the IAC counts and TP position as a guide for how big to go. You want reasonable IAC (30-50?) at idle with the blades closed as far as they can be without sticking. I use a thin piece of paper as a shim in the blades to get them closed just right.
